What Shelfpane can and cannot do

Read this before you buy.

• It only works on claude.ai in a desktop browser. Not the Claude desktop app, not the phone apps, not the API console.
• Folders and pins are labels, not moves. Claude keeps its own chat list unchanged; Shelfpane organises a view of it. Uninstalling Shelfpane removes the folders, never your chats.
• Search covers what Shelfpane has seen. Full-text search indexes a chat when you open it or run "index my chats" from the sidebar, which opens each chat in turn. It does not read chats in the background.
• Folder sync uses your browser's own sync (Chrome or Edge signed-in sync). Firefox keeps folders on the one machine. Search indexes and exports are always local.
• Anthropic changes claude.ai often. When they change the page, part of Shelfpane may stop working until we ship a fix — usually within a couple of days. If it stays broken, ask for a refund.
• Not affiliated with Anthropic. Shelfpane is an independent product. It acts only when you click and only on your own chats.
