Privacy policy

The extension

• We do not collect your chats. Folder names, pins, prompts and search indexes are stored in your browser's extension storage. Folder and pin metadata may be synced by your browser's own account sync if you have that switched on; that is a feature of your browser, not a service we run.
• No analytics inside the extension. We do not track what you do on claude.ai.
• Licence check. If you enter a Pro licence key, the extension sends that key and a random device identifier to Polar (our payment provider) to confirm it is valid. Nothing else is sent.
• Error reports are off by default. If you switch on "send error reports" in settings, crash reports (error message, extension version, browser version — never chat content) go to Sentry. You can turn it off any time.
• Permissions. The extension runs only on claude.ai and asks for storage. It does not read other sites.

We use PostHog to count page views (page, referrer, country, browser). No cookies are used for advertising and we do not sell data.

Purchases

Checkout is run by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record. Polar collects your email and payment details under Polar's privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so we can issue your licence key and handle support and refunds.

Support email

Emails to support@shelfpane.com are kept in Google Workspace for as long as needed to help you, then deleted on request.

Your rights

Email us to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored in your browser.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will note it on this page with a new effective date.
